About Me

The inner voice is a powerful instrument that can build and/or destroy. Peggy O’Mara is quoted as saying, “The way we talk to our children becomes their inner voice.” I was raised to be competitive, but subdued. I was taught to be assertive, but submissive. I learned to be capable and competent, but tried to look inept. These contradictory messages and ideas shaped the person I am today, but they no longer define me.  As a young adult, I searched for opportunities to challenge my childhood beliefs and redefine my inner voice.  My experiences as a teacher, elite rower, improv artist, roller girl and stay-at-home mom allowed me to test my limits, discover my true self and confront my fears.  As I enter middle age, my journey continues: growing, experiencing and being.

And now I want to provide space for others to grow, experience and be themselves.  Through beReal, I offer education consulting and empowerment coaching to explore personal and professional issues, beliefs and relationships.  The purpose of our work together is to support you where you are and determine where you want to be.

I am excited to begin our journey together.

Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.”
